Phat Jam season is coming

The Evolve Phat Jam series are events where painters of all kinds get to come together and take out a lot of wall space and quality spots. We create a situation where there is support and funding in place for the day to happen. It’s something where apart from the paint going on to the wall and the art being created, there is a sense of community between people and also the big bonus of the wonderful location of The Bernard Shaw.

Since the first jam we’ve managed to expand the amount of spots and we really take out every surface on the day. Last year we managed to fit in 3 of the events. June, August and even October weather didn’t stop a good day out. Artists come to paint from around the country and it really has grown legs as a great event, as always it’s an open thing and we love the amount of support and visits that we get on the day. After all a beer garden with pizza is a perfect location to see some art created…..

While there’s 100’s of photos from the day, below is a quick view in to the art created. It’s not just the main wall we take a 360 degree approach and take out street level as well.

The event is nothing without the painters, illustrators, and writers who come to paint, and those who come to watch. We’re very proud to have such a talented crew to each event.

This year we’ll be kicking of in March and April and we’ll be getting a good long run in till the rainy season. Paint on walls!
